Adani Ports gains on reporting a 41% rise in Q4 consolidated net profit

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone is currently trading at Rs. 412.95, up by 0.40 points or 0.10% from its previous closing of Rs. 412.55 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 423.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 427.00 and Rs. 412.35 respectively. So far 405483 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 430.00 on 23-May-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 293.95 on 30-Oct-2018. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 430.00 and Rs. 378.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 86079.11 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.30%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.44% and 3.26% respectively. Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone has reported a fall of 3.73% in its net profit at Rs 674.48 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2019, as compared to Rs 700.59 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 10.57% at Rs 2,166.63 crore for Q4FY19 as compared Rs 2,422.71 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 41.45% in its net profit at Rs 1,314.19 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 929.06 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company marginally increased by 0.16% at Rs 3,492.72 crore for Q4FY19 as compared Rs 3,487.29 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2019, the company has reported a rise of 9.54% in its net profit at Rs 2,637.72 crore as compared to Rs 2,408.10 crore for the previous year. However, the total income of the company decreased by 10.57% at Rs 7,679.28 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 8,141.14 crore for the year ended March 31, 2018.

For the year ended March 31, 2019, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 9.62% in its net profit at Rs 4,044.75 crore as compared to Rs 3,689.95 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company marginally decreased by 0.37% at Rs 12,287.78 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 12,333.89 crore for year ended March 31, 2018.
