Indo-Pak border tensions: Sensex slips in the market, nearly 400 points fall from daily peak

The news of the constant tension on the Indo-Pak border has a tremendous negative impact on the market.

After opening at 36,138.83 versus 35,973.71, the Sensex had a lead of about 400 points at a time. But at around 12.40, it is 140.15 points or 0.39% down at 35,833.56. 

On the other hand, NSE’s Nifty touched a peak of 10,939.70 at the end of the 10,777.85 with a decline of 57.45 points or 0.53%. 

It is worth mentioning that there is news of both India and Pakistan fighter jets entering each other’s border. However, the Pak patrol jumped back immediately to the Indian patrol party. Meanwhile, the Airports engaged with the Pakistan border are on high alert and there civilian traffic has been suspended.

Pakistan is also reported to shut down domestic and international commercial flights from the airports of Islamabad, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad and Sialkot.

Meanwhile, according to reports, UN General Secretary Antonio Guereres is also looking at the situation in the two countries. Guterres has asked to keep maximum control from both countries.
