With positive trends from the US and Asian markets on Wednesday, there is a slight increase during the first session in the Indian stock market.
On the other hand, small-medium indices are showing more strength. There is a weak start in the rupee against the dollar today.
The BSE Sensex opened at 33,963.09 against the previous closed level of 33,891.13 and slipped to the lowest level of 34,050.12 in the initial trading. At 9.25 a.m., the Sensex is up 47.07 points, or 0.14%, at 33,938.20. At the same time, NSE’s Nifty closed at 10,209.55 against the previous close level of 10,198.40, with a marginal increase of 9.15 points or 0.09%, at 10,207.55.
However, today there is a huge increase in the small-medium market. BSE midcap has 0.68% and BSE Smallcaps 0.54%. Whereas the Nifty Mid 100 is 0.74% and the Nifty Small 100 is 0.67%. At present, 27 out of 50 Nifty stocks and 16 of the top 31 Sensex stocks are in strong positions.
