Lupin approves USFDA’s approval for the best-selling drug in world history

The leading pharmaceutical manufacturer Lupin has received the approval of the US Health Regulatory (USFDA) for the best-selling drug in world history.

Lupine has flagged the USFDA for the Atorvastatin Calcium Tablet, a generic version of Lipitor, a pharmaceutical company Pfizer. 

Atorvastatin is used to reduce cholesterol, which in the US last year was about $ 669 million. Atorvastatin is also used to reduce the risk of heart attack, to reduce stroke and diabetes in cardiovascular patients.

Meanwhile, Lupine’s share in the BSE opened at 799.80 rupees today with the increase in comparison to the previous closed level of 791.10 rupees. After the start of the green mark, at around 11.30 pm, it is running at Rs. 793.65 with the strength of Rs. 2.55, 0.32%. At this price, the company’s market capitalization is Rs 35,904.54 crore. At the same time, its last 52-week peak is 986.00 rupees and the lower level is 723.55 rupees.
