The rise in the prices of crude oil in the international market has fueled the price of retail fuel for the second consecutive day on Friday.
After Friday’s revision, petrol became expensive 7-8 paise, while diesel prices in major cities of the country increased by 19-20 paise per liter.
In the national capital Delhi, the price of petrol went up to Rs 70.57, while the price of diesel has increased to 64.97 from yesterday’s 64.78.
In Mumbai, the price of petrol went up to Rs 76.18 per liter, which is 7 paise more than yesterday’s 76.11 rupees. The price of diesel in Mumbai is 68.02, which is 20 paise more than yesterday’s 67.82 rupees.
In Chennai and Kolkata, petrol went up by 8 paise and 7 paise to Rs 73.23 and Rs 72.65 respectively. In Chennai, the price of diesel is 68.62, 20 paise more than yesterday’s price, while in Kolkata diesel has been 19 paise to 66.74 rupees.
After a report of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, on Friday, oil prices have increased. Last month the production of crude oil had decreased rapidly. There was a decrease in apprehensions about supply increases for a long time. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures
