Share market update: PSU Bank shares dip; BoB down 1%

NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading in the negative zone in Tuesday’s morning session.

Shares of Bank of Baroda (down 1 per cent), Punjab National BankNSE -1.18 % (down 0.86 per cent), State Bank of IndiaNSE -1.12 % (down 0.58 per cent) and Allahabad Bank (down 0.38 per cent) were trading with losses. 

Union Bank of India (down 0.33 per cent), Oriental Bank of Commerce (down 0.18 per cent) and Central Bank of India (down 0.14 per cent) too were trading lower. 

The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.46 per cent down at 3243.70 around 10:01 am. 

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 21.10 points at 11,625.60 while the BSE Sensex was up 109.75 points at 38,810.28. 

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red. 

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, YES Bank, DLF, Bank of Baroda, Indiabulls Housing Finance, SBI, Indian Oil Corp, SAIL, Wipro, BHEL and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
